The classic pattern in the menswear, a simple geometrical line – stripes have been in the industry since the medieval times where it was stereotyped as a statement for prisoners, workers or criminals. Only later, Queen Victoria of England dressed up her son in stripes for a Royal Yacht event and white and navy stripes came to be associated with everything nautical. Also known as seersucker, this stripe is a thin, puckered, all-cotton fabric used for making spring/summer wear. With a wrinkled appearance at some places, the fabric is produced in a variety of colors resembling milk and sugar for its smooth and bumpy texture respectively.
A pattern of narrow white stripes alternated with that of another color typically pink, this fabric is mostly used for shirts and sportswear. Distributed as equitable, the white background and another color run along duplicating a candy cane.
Typically used for shirt fabrics, this two-color vertical pattern is distributed equally and is narrower than candy stripes commonly done in white and another color. The fabric is shipped to the world markets from Bengal, India.

Being relatively thin with spacing between them rarely exceeding 5/8″, the pinstripes are named so as they are both thin and small. The pattern is used to describe both shirt and suit fabrics and is equivalent to the width of a pin.
